Safety
( 5 Articles )
The Executive Board created this committee to evaluate our safety needs, including, but not limited to facility security, grounds safety and traffic safety. Our BEST method for preventing crime is public awareness. We need each and every resident to be observant and to report any and all suspicious or illegal activities to Morrisville Police 911. For all non-emergency calls please contact MPD at (919) 829-1911. You can also report any non-emergency violations to York Properties at (919) 832-9300. Please visit this site for more information and to read the minutes from the meetings. If you would like to volunteer for this committee, please contact Susan Shadle, Chairperson, at safety (at) breckenridgenc.com. The Safety committee has been extremely active since their first meeting in June. Volunteers have worked with the Town of Morrisville Police department to obtain information about establishing neighborhood watch programs, obtain and evaluate the latest radar trailer statistics, and to participate in Morrisville’s first National Night Out, held on August 1 . Our volunteers have assessed our main common areas, namely the pool and clubhouse, playground, tennis and basketball courts, and are investigating several methods for improving the security for these facilities. Working with Morrisville Police and Fire departments, the safety committee will explore safety related activities for the residents, including a fire safety day, car seat safety, child Id and CPR/First Aid training. Morrisville Police offers a Vacation Watch program. By completing a short form, you can request the Morrisville Police department patrol your residence during your absence. You can access their Vacation Request form at: http://www.ci.morrisville.nc.us/police/documents/vacation_watch.pdf.
